Our work is both a physical manifestation of our experiences found in nature and the spiritual guidance therein. Through our life travels we have shaped our path as artists which has led to a true and authentic understanding of ourselves and the source of Art. Learning to trust and remain open to a genuine place of inspiration and changes brought with each of us. Every journey, relationship and experience has sculpted our nature and provided a plethora of inspiration for each artists work. As each piece is created, this invisible thread creates a life-quilt, the work becomes a reflection of their own odyssey and an oracle through which the observer may glimpse their own pilgrimage. This is the inspired impetus behind the artists work and what unceasingly their heart, their art, their life.” Opening Night: Friday 6th November 2015, from 6pm $5.00 entry includes Hot & Cold Supper Wine will be served by Kingsley Grove Estate Live Entertainment The exhibition will remain in the Wondai Regional Art Gallery throughout the month of November 2015. JUNE MCCOTTER Out From Down Under & Beyond:

Fine Art From Australia and New Zealand
Reception: Thursday May 24, 2012 6-8 PM

June McCotter is a well-established Australian artist who paints luminous abstract landscapes with mixed media on canvas. McCotter captures the fleeting, ethereal essence of her subjects, exploring the colors and moods of nature in her homeland. Whether she depicts a drought in the Australian outback or heavy rains, her work possesses an exquisite elegance and brevity that beautifully conveys emotion. "Painting is my only way of communicating intimate reactions to nature, life and the world around me," she explains. The moods in McCotter's work are primarily created through her use of color. She works mainly with the warm colors that are prevalent in her region, subduing or intensifying them for dramatic effect. Individual paintings keep to a limited palette in order to strengthen the emotional message, and the overall effect is lucid and moving.

June McCotter grew up on a cattle station in Australia, and her experiences there have inspired much of the creative energy that forms her art. Currently living and working in the Sunshine Coast, her work has been exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions.
